Society of Thoracic Surgeons - 3 Star Award for Best Heart Surgeons

The surgeons of Raney Zusman Medical Group recently received a "3 Star" rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), the highest rating awarded to heart surgery practices participating in the national database. The award is based on a comprehensive rating system that allows for comparisons regarding the quality of cardiac surgery among hospitals across the country, and is given to the top 12% of heart surgery practices. Top Valve Replacement Statistics in Orange County

Raney Zusman Medical Group recently received a 5-star ratings for valve replacement surgery by Healthgrades, Inc. The group received 5/5 stars for inhospital mortality (survival rate), inhospital plus 1 month, and inhospital plus 6 month survival rates. Orange Coast Magazine - Top Heart Surgeons Award

The heart and lung surgeons of Raney Zusman Medical Group were awarded the "Top Docs" award by Orange Coast Magazine, based on the opinions of other physicians in the Orange County area, and compiled by the Washington, D.C. based Center for the Study of Services (CSS), a non-profit consumer research organization. The questionnaire was sent to nearly all of the 23,000 office-based and hospital-based physicians in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
