The heart and lung surgeons of Raney Zusman Medical Group were awarded the "Top Docs" award by Orange Coast Magazine. The award is based on the opinions of other physicians in the Orange County area, and compiled by the Washington, D.C. based Center for the Study of Services (CSS), a non-profit consumer research organization. The questionnaire was sent to nearly all of the 23,000 office-based and hospital-based physicians in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Each physician was asked to recommend the specialists he or she would "consider most desirable for care of a loved one." The surgeons of Raney Zusman Medical Group are honored to be considered the top heart surgeons in Orange County by a group of peers. Drs. Raney, Zusman, and Joyo received more mentions than any other cardiac and thoracic surgery group in the Orange County area. This award reflects the commitment of the surgeons and support staff to providing the best in heart surgery and lung surgery, including heart bypass surgery, robotic heart surgery, and mitral valve repair.
