Endovascular surgery is a form of minimally invasive surgery that was designed to access many regions of the body via major blood vessels.  These procedures are performed without opening the chest or placing the patient on the heart lung machine.

Raney Zusman Medical Group has expanded the management of cardiovascular disease with the hire of Dr. Jacques Kpodonu, a specialist in endovascular interventions.  Trained as a cardiovascular surgeon and endovascular interventionalist, he brings a new realm of medical technology to patients, allowing the treatment of vascular diseases with non-surgical solutions. He is an early adopter of endovascular and hybrid approaches for the treatment of aortic disease (abdominal aortic aneurysms and thoracic aortic aneurysms), hybrid and transcatheter therapies for structural heart disease (both aortic and mitral), cerebrovascular disease management, 3-D CT imaging, non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging, intra-cardiac echocardiography, intra-vascular ultrasound and novel approaches of image guided cardiac surgery.

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

This treatment option provides an important therapy for patients with severe, symptomatic native aortic valve stenosis who are not candidates for traditional surgical replacement.
